News has just come around that Steve Jobs has handed in his official resignation. Early news indicate he will take up the position of Chairman and Tim Cook will be the new CEO. Mr. Jobs, co-founder of the Cupertino, Calif., tech giant released the following statement.
“I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple”s CEO, I would be the first to let you know,” Jobs said in a statement. “Unfortunately, that day has come.”
Jobs went on medical leave in January.

Apple has released a press statement on the news of Steve Jobs resignation.
